How Loula handles information when you use the marketplace.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Loula handles information when you use the Loula marketplace application and related services.
2. Account and profile information
Loula currently supports Google authentication. To authenticate your account, Loula may receive basic Google account information such as your display name, email address, profile photo, and Google or Firebase authentication identifier. Loula does not receive your Google password.
Loula also stores information you provide for your profile. Some profile information may be shown to other users where needed for marketplace functionality, including seller information displayed with listings.

Loula does not require precise GPS location for marketplace listings. Listing location is based on province and city information.
4. Technical information and Firebase
Loula may process technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service. This may include device and app information, authentication events, network and error information, and similar operational logs.
Loula uses Google Firebase infrastructure to provide parts of the service. This includes Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase App Check, and Firebase Functions where required by the service.

6. Information visible to others
Listings and listing photos are intended to be visible to marketplace users. Seller or profile information needed to identify the seller within Loula may appear with listings.
Direct messages are visible to the participants in the relevant conversation. Loula may access messages when reasonably necessary for safety, abuse investigation, support, legal compliance, or protection of the service.
7. Sharing and disclosure
Loula does not sell users’ personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers required to operate Loula, including Google and Firebase. Information may also be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, investigate fraud or abuse, protect users, or protect Loula and its services.
8. Retention and account deletion
Loula keeps personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain the account, operate marketplace functionality, protect users, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations.
When an account is deleted, Loula will delete or anonymize personal information that is no longer reasonably required. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or protecting the rights and safety of Loula or its users.
