Permanent action
What happens when you delete your account?
Deleting your Loula account is permanent. Once confirmed, Loula hides your public profile and listings and processes permanent deletion of your account and associated user data. The deleted account cannot be restored.
Deletion scope
Data deleted with your account
Loula's deletion workflow removes the following active and account-associated data.
- Your Loula authentication account and active account identifiers.
- Your private and public profile information, including your profile photo or avatar.
- Listings and drafts you created, together with uploaded listing photos and other listing media.
- Favorites and saved-item records associated with your account.
- Registered devices, notification preferences, presence data, blocks, and other private account settings.
- Seller verification records and account-associated marketplace statistics handled by the deletion workflow.
Limited exceptions
What data may be retained?
Conversations may remain as closed records for the other participant, but Loula replaces the deleted participant with a pseudonymous deleted-user marker and redacts message bodies sent by the deleted account.
Limited deletion, report, moderation, support, appeal, audit, or fraud-prevention records may be retained in minimized or pseudonymized form where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, enforcement of Loula's Terms or Community Guidelines, or to protect users.
Routine backup copies may remain temporarily until they are overwritten through normal backup processes. Loula does not currently document a fixed additional retention period; retained information is kept only where reasonably necessary or legally required.
